The above list is the shortest list I could ever produce. Apparently, there is much more to learn about effective visual communication. It takes years off studying to become a sound web designer or graphic designer. There are many books filled with great content about this topic. But, if you are a small business owner and want to create some visual aids for your Facebook content an excellent way to start is to keep all of the above mentioned in mind.

Content Marketing – Brainstorming

Brainstorming, sitting comfortably with a group of people

Ever Tried Brainstorming As a Group, for Your Content Marketing Team?

It might not work for all teams and all businesses but, hey, you never know unless you try. Especially when you are feeling stuck, or your team is trying to solve a problem it can be a good thing to brainstorm as a team. Some ideas from others might invoke some new thoughts in your mind.

Here are some ideas on how to facilitate a group brainstorming.

1. Find Your Sacred Space – comfort is key

Find a beautiful, comfortable corner in your office to “hang out” with your team. yes, you can be laying around when brainstorming as a group. The time s over, hopefully, where everybody has to be all business like in dresses and suits.

2. Gather Your Tribe – different experts make for more exciting sessions

Make sure is comfortable enough to spit out ideas in front of others without the fear of sounding stupid. These meetings can only be successful if everybody has a good time while working. Creativity has a flow and can never be forced in situations that you do not feel safe.

3. Nourish the Souls – rainbow-colored foods can boost creativity

Creativity flows better with some great colorful food. Just make sure that you know what everybody likes and pay attention to possible allergies some people might have.

4. Say Yes – don’t turn down all the ideas, you never know when lightning will strike!

Don’t turn down any ideas. Just keep building on new ideas. That is what brainstorming should be about. Free flow of creative juices. Encourage even silly ideas just like when freewriting. Let’s get everything out that pops into the team’s heads.

5. Keep it on Record – jot down all ideas on a board for all to see; it may spark a new idea

And keep it up on the board for a while, so it stays fresh for everybody to see. It might spark a new idea later on in the week.

6. Take a Break – get the team involved with a 5 min exercise routine or talk a walk outdoors

It is always a good idea to get up and move around to keep the blood flowing. A 5 to 10 min walk outside, if possible, can do wonders.

“ Defer judgment. Encourage wild ideas. Stay focused on the topic. The most important of them, I would argue, is “Build on the ideas of others.”

Why I recommend managed hosting for your WordPress site(s) and one of our maintenance/security plan

Why I recommend managed hosting for your WordPress site(s) and one of our maintenance/security plan

The price you pay for managed hosting is 100% worth it compared to bottom-of-the-barrel shared hosting solutions! Here are five reasons why managed hosting with us is the way to go:

1

EVERYTHING IS TAKEN CARE OF FOR YOU

Upgrades, security, migrations, you name it – we handle it. In the long run, this is absolute winds up saving you time, money, IT resources, and so much more.

2

YOUR SITE GETS ITS OWN DEDICATED RESOURCES

We put your site on a dedicated VPS, whereas shared hosting is just that; a shared server, tied to a bunch of other sites that could be dealing with malware, performance issues, and more.

3

MANAGED HOSTING IS REALLY FAST

We tune servers for optimal WordPress performance and configure all the caching, so you don’t have to spend time worrying about site speed.

4

TOP-NOTCH SECURITY

We do our best to stay on top of the latest security vulnerabilities and reduce the possibility that your site will be compromised. And IF your site is somehow compromised, we will fix it for you.

5

WE HAVE GOT YOUR BACK

When you call us, you will get a real-live human on the other end, rather than dealing with a robot! And if you have any technical questions, we will find the answer.

So in a nutshell, all of this means you can stop worrying about the servers and the hosting and the hackers and your site performance and instead, spend time running your business.

Negative Feedback. Oh NO!

Negative Feedback. Oh NO!

[su_heading]How to deal with negative Feedback![/su_heading]

It happens, negative feedback left on your site! Now, what should you do? Delete it if you can? Ignore it?

I am not a fan of deleting negative feedback! First things first. Check out who left that negative feedback and respond to it as you should do in any other business, with great customer service. You need to show your customers that you care, no matter how much you might dislike the fact of negative feedback. Keep in mind that we all have bad days.

You should ask yourself:

Who is giving the feedback?

  • Customer
  • Investor
  • Employer
  • Stakeholders

Is this person reliable/creditable and/or trustworthy? And, evaluate the purpose of the feedback.

  • Genuine Purposes could be:
  • Educate or inspire
  • Improve a service
  • Share a concern/ experience

When to delete negative comments:

  • Profanity
  • hateful
  • extremely rude

When responding, separate the True from the False.

Admit fault and offer to fix the problem. We all make mistakes, but there are different ways to handle mistakes. Be honest and provide excellent customer service!  This might turn your negative feedback into a happy customer because she knows that you did your best to help this customer and you are actually interested in providing great services or products! This will make lasting customer relationships in the end. Look at it at as an opportunity to show off your customer service skills.

So, don’t be scared or get frustrated if you see negative comments on your website. Try and make the best of it and show that you can be trusted!
